Assistance LeagueŽ of Wichita is tax-exempt under section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS code and has no salaried staff or paid employees. Services are made possible through private gifts, grants, and donations. All funds remain in the Wichita area.
Our fundraising activities include:
Gifts and Grants. Over 35% of our funding comes from contributions from individuals, church groups, organizations and foundations.

Why contribute to Assistance League of Wichita?
 Your donation remains in the Wichita community.
 During the 2007-2008 fiscal year, seventy-five cents of every dollar raised goes directly to our programs to help the underserved in the Wichita area.
 Your monetary contribution is completely tax-deductible.
Your contribution can take many forms including cash or credit card donations, bequests, trusts, grants, and memorials. Contributions, large or small, will make a difference.
 Your $5 donation can:
Provide an ALI Bear for a grieving child.
 Your $10 donation can:
Provide a sweatsuit and undergarments for an assault or rape victim.
 Your $20 donation can:
Provide a new pair of shoes for an underserved child.
 Your $50 donation can:
Provide hygiene and school supply kits, a warm winter coat, socks and
underwear for one disadvantaged child.
 Your $105 donation can:
Completely clothe and provide shoes for one disadvantaged child.

Thrift Shop
The Assistance League Thrift Shop, staffed totally by volunteers, is located at 2611 E. Douglas. It was opened in 1990. Donated items are sold to the community at large, for the sole purpose of generating funds for our Philanthropic Programs. During the 2006-2007 fiscal year, the Thrift Shop generated sales of $75,000. Quality merchandise is donated by members and the community. Donations are always welcome.

Gingerbread Village
This annual event is held each fall. Local chefs, professionals, groups, adults and children create original gingerbread houses for display, judging and then for sale. Those attending may also create their own little houses at Graham Cracker Junction. Instructions and supplies are provided. A Preview Gala with live and silent auctions kicks off the event. Gingerbread Village 2007 generated over $50,000 for our philanthropic projects.
